Disney Lorcana Kosmische Reise: All Information About Set 16

Disney Lorcana Kosmische Reise is the 16th set of the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game and takes Lorcana in a completely new direction. In English, the set is called Cosmic Quest, which is particularly important for international news and English products. For German Players and Collectors, however, the name Kosmische Reise is clearly the focus, as it describes quite well what it is about: a galactic adventure, new places in space, and glimmers appearing in a cosmic setting.

According to the current schedule, the set will be released in Q2 2027. Not many individual cards are known yet, but the central theme is already clear. Kosmische Reise takes us from the Inklands into space. There, we can expect a bustling station, a snack bar for aliens and interstellar travelers, a celestial reef, and the mystical expanses of the Star Tales.

In this article, you'll get a compact overview of Disney Lorcana Set 16 Kosmische Reise, the information known so far, the space setting, and the products available from cardcosmos for the new Lorcana expansion.

What is Disney Lorcana Kosmische Reise?

Kosmische Reise is the 16th expansion of Disney Lorcana. Those researching internationally will also find the English title Cosmic Quest. In terms of content, however, it is the same set. The main difference lies in the language of the products and the name used in the respective market.

While Set 15 In die Dunkeltinte focuses more heavily on villains, Hades, and the Inklands, Set 16 feels much brighter, more adventurous, and more ambitious. Ravensburger describes Kosmische Reise as the beginning of Lorcana's age of space exploration. With this, Disney Lorcana leaves the familiar paths of the Inklands and turns its gaze toward new places in the cosmos.

For German Lorcana fans, search terms such as Disney Lorcana Kosmische Reise, Lorcana Set 16, Disney Lorcana Weltraum Set, Kosmische Reise Booster, and Kosmische Reise Collector Booster are particularly relevant. Those who prefer German cards will primarily search for Kosmische Reise.

The Most Important Facts About Lorcana Set 16

• Set: Disney Lorcana Set 16
• German Title: Kosmische Reise
• Release: Q2 2027
• Theme: space exploration, galactic journey, and cosmic Glimmer
• Known Motifs: Sagensterne, space station, celestial reef, and snack bar for aliens

A regular Disney Lorcana Booster still contains 12 cards. These include common, uncommon, rare, epic, or legendary cards, as well as a Foil Card with random Rarity. A Booster Display contains 24 Booster packs. In addition, new Collector Booster have been available since In die Dunkeltinte, and they will also play an important role for Collectors in Kosmische Reise.

Why the Space Setting Is So Exciting

Kosmische Reise is exciting for Disney Lorcana because the set takes up a theme that clearly differs from many previous expansions. Instead of an enchanted forest, island, city, magic, or a world of villains, this time it heads into space.

This opens up many possibilities for new Glimmer versions. Characters can appear in spacesuits, on alien stations, or in galactic scenes. Even the reference to Ariel in an astronaut suit shows that familiar Disney characters can take on new, unusual roles in Set 16.

That is exactly what makes it interesting for collectors. Lorcana thrives on showing familiar characters in new variations. A space-themed set can feature many eye-catching artworks, because stars, planets, space stations, alien travelers, and cosmic effects can be visually very striking.

The Sagensterne as the Destination of Kosmische Reise

The official set page describes the journey as leading from a bustling station into the mystical reaches to save the Sagensterne. Exactly what the Sagensterne mean in the Lorcana story has not yet been fully explained.

The term sounds like an important narrative element, however. Sagensterne could be special locations, objects, or powers within the Lorcana world. The only certainty is that they are at the heart of the cosmic journey and give the set a clear mission.

This is important for Lorcana because the sets do not just release cards, but tell their own story piece by piece. Kosmische Reise seems to expand this story significantly and open up new areas of the Lorcana world.

Which cards could become interesting in Kosmische Reise?

No complete card list for Disney Lorcana Kosmische Reise is known yet. Therefore, it is best to be cautious about specific chase cards. It is still too early to name individual cards as certain highlights.

Nevertheless, there are several card types that will probably receive a great deal of attention in Lorcana Set 16.

• Cosmic glimmers: Familiar Disney characters in space or star-themed designs are likely to become particularly exciting for Collectors
• Ariel in an astro suit: Already mentioned as an example and therefore an early indication of the set's direction
• Enchanted cards: These rare cards are almost always among the biggest highlights in Disney Lorcana
• Illustrious cards: If this new collectors' direction continues in Set 16, such cards could be particularly sought after
• Legendary cards: Often equally important to Players and Collectors
• Cards featuring Sagensterne and space locations: Particularly interesting if these motifs become important in gameplay or the story

Which cards will ultimately be sought after will only become clear with the official reveals. With a set featuring such a strong visual theme, demand may depend heavily on the artwork, character selection, and Rarity.

Collector Booster for Kosmische Reise

With In die Dunkeltinte, Disney Lorcana is introducing new Collector Booster for the first time. These Collector Booster are intended to contain higher Rarity more frequently and consist of 12 random premium Foil cards with special Foil treatment. Kosmische Reise is one of the sets in which Collector Booster already play an important role as a standalone product.

This is particularly interesting for Collectors because Set 16 already has plenty of potential for striking Foil effects thanks to its space theme. Stars, cosmic backgrounds, glowing locations, and special glimmers can look especially impressive in premium Foil.

However, it is important to note that Collector Booster do not replace regular Booster. They are more of an additional collectors' product for fans who specifically want to pursue rarer cards, special Foils, and higher-quality variants.
