Pokémon 151 from the Japanese Scarlet & Violet series
Pokémon 151 is a Japanese expansion from the Scarlet & Violet series and has the set identifier SV2a. The set was released in Japan on June 16, 2023, and is one of the best-known modern Pokémon expansions due to its nostalgic theme. A Japanese Pokémon 151 Booster Pack contains seven randomly assorted cards.
The first 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region
Pokémon 151 focuses on all Pokémon from the first generation—from Bulbasaur to Mew. The Pokémon are arranged within the set according to their original Pokédex numbers. This makes the expansion especially appealing to fans of the Kanto region and Collectors who want to build a complete Collection Box of the first 151 Pokémon.
Mew ex and popular Pokémon ex
Mew ex is one of the central cards in Pokémon 151 and also features prominently in the design of the Japanese Booster. In addition, the expansion includes other popular Pokémon ex such as Venusaur ex, Charizard ex, Blastoise ex, Alakazam ex, and Zapdos ex. This allows the set to bring together numerous well-known Pokémon from the first generation in modern card designs.
Special illustrations and evolution lines
Pokémon 151 offers numerous Art Rare and Special Art Rare cards with elaborately designed artwork. Some illustrations tell a connected story across complete evolution lines. These include, among others, the evolution lines of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, whose artwork visibly develops with each evolutionary stage.
