Pokémon Delta Reign: All information about Delta Reign and Mega Rayquaza ex

Pokémon Delta Herrschaft is one of the most exciting upcoming sets of the Mega-Entwicklung era in the Pokémon Trading card game. Internationally, the expansion is released under the name Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Delta Reign. In Japan, the set is based on Storm Emeralda, which is released earlier and provides an initial look at many of the cards and themes.

The focus is on Mega-Rayquaza-ex. This gives one of the most popular Legendary Pokémon a major role in the Pokémon TCG once again. For collectors, this is a strong signal, as Rayquaza has long been one of the Pokémon that receives particular attention for special cards, powerful artwork, and rare variants.

In this article, you will get a concise overview of Pokémon Delta Herrschaft, the English name Delta Reign, the Japanese version Storm Emeralda, the Release, and the set's highlights known so far.

What is Pokémon Delta Herrschaft?

Delta Herrschaft is the German version of the international Pokémon TCG set Delta Reign. The full English title is Mega Evolution – Delta Reign. This makes the expansion part of the Mega-Entwicklung series, in which Mega Pokémon-ex once again play a central role.

The Japanese basis is Storm Emeralda. This set is released earlier in Japan and already shows the direction Delta Reign is taking. As with many Pokémon releases, Japanese sets often provide an early preview of later German and English expansions.

Several terms are therefore important when searching for the set: Pokémon Delta Herrschaft, Pokémon Delta Reign, Mega Evolution Delta Reign, Storm Emeralda, and of course Mega-Rayquaza-ex.

The key information about Delta Reign at a glance

• German Name: Delta Herrschaft
• English Name: Mega Evolution – Delta Reign
• Japanese Set: Storm Emeralda
• Japanese Release: 31 July 2026
• International Release: 6 November 2026
• Featured Pokémon: Mega-Rayquaza-ex
• Series: Mega-Entwicklung

Not every card in the German and English versions has been officially finalized yet. Nevertheless, Storm Emeralda already makes it clear that Delta Reign focuses heavily on Mega-Rayquaza-ex, Energy acceleration, high damage output, and special Stadium cards.

Mega-Rayquaza-ex as the centerpiece of the set

The most important name in Delta Reign is clear: Mega-Rayquaza-ex. Rayquaza has always been one of the most popular Legendary Pokémon in the Trading card game. Cards featuring Rayquaza, Mega-Rayquaza, and powerful Dragon-themed artwork in particular have often held a special significance for collectors.

Mega-Rayquaza-ex has already been revealed in Storm Emeralda. The card uses Fire and Lightning Energy as part of its strategy and can consequently reach very high damage values. This fits Rayquaza well, as the Pokémon has always represented tremendous power, the sky, storms, and a special connection to Groudon and Kyogre.

For Delta Reign and Delta Herrschaft, Mega-Rayquaza-ex will therefore likely be important not only from a gameplay perspective. It will probably also be one of the most important cards in the set for Collectors, especially if it receives special illustrations, Full Arts, or other rare variants.

Storm Emeralda: The Japanese source set

If you want to understand Delta Herrschaft, it is worth taking a look at Storm Emeralda. The Japanese set will be released on July 31, 2026, and is the most important basis for the later German and English versions.

The name Storm Emeralda clearly plays on the themes of storms, the sky, and Rayquaza. At the same time, it recalls Pokémon Emerald, where Rayquaza plays a central role in the story surrounding Groudon and Kyogre. This connection is especially exciting for many fans because it combines strong nostalgia with the new Mega-Entwicklung era.

Japanese products are often particularly interesting for Collectors because they are released earlier and offer a first look at cards, artwork, and potential highlights. So anyone who can barely wait for Delta Reign or Delta Herrschaft will probably be following Storm Emeralda especially closely.

The split Stadium card

One of the most exciting known features so far is a split Stadium card. Storm Emeralda showed that two matching card halves can be combined to bring a complete Stadium into play.

This is a striking idea for the Pokémon TCG because Stadium cards are normally played as individual cards. A split Stadium card therefore immediately stands out and is somewhat reminiscent of earlier card concepts in which two card parts combined to form a larger whole.

From a gameplay perspective, such a mechanic could become interesting because you have to find both parts and bring them together. At the same time, the effect could be powerful enough to justify this effort. Exactly how this idea will be implemented in German in Delta Herrschaft will become clear with the official German cards.

Which cards have already been shown?

In addition to Mega-Rayquaza-ex, further cards from Storm Emeralda have already been shown in Japan, and they will very likely also be relevant for Delta Reign and Delta Herrschaft. These include, among others, cards focused on building up Energy, support for Mega-Rayquaza-ex, and additional Pokémon-ex.

Among those specifically mentioned were Talonflame-ex, Adventure Lantern, cards centered around Mega Rayquaza, and other Pokémon that make the set more diverse to play. Cards such as Mega Metagross-ex and other new Mega Evolution Pokémon were also shown in connection with Storm Emeralda.

However, it is important to note that as long as the complete German and English card list has not been officially released, individual cards should be treated with caution. Japanese source sets usually provide a very good preview, but international sets can differ in structure and card count.

Why Delta Reign is exciting for Collectors

For Collectors, Pokémon Delta Reign has several strong arguments in its favor. The most important is, of course, Mega Rayquaza-ex. Rayquaza is a fan favorite, and major Rayquaza sets almost always attract a great deal of attention.

There is also the connection to Storm Emeralda. Japanese cards from this set will likely be in demand early on because they provide the first access to the new Rayquaza artwork. Later, the German and English cards from Delta Reign and Delta Reign will be of interest to many Collectors.

The Mega Evolution era itself also plays a role. Mega Pokémon-ex bring back a strong sense of nostalgia, especially for fans of the XY era. If Delta Reign features good illustrations and special rarities, the set could become one of the most eye-catching Pokémon releases of late 2026.

For Players: What could Delta Reign bring to the game?

So far, much points to Delta Reign revolving heavily around Energy, high damage values, and Mega Evolution Pokémon-ex. Mega Rayquaza-ex appears to be at the center of this, benefiting from cards that support Fire and Lightning Energy.

The two-part Stadium card could also become important if its effect is strong enough. Cards that offset the disadvantage of Mega Pokémon-ex or make their strategy more consistent can be particularly relevant for decks.

However, it is still too early to make reliable statements about the meta. Only once the complete card list and the official German and English card texts are known will it be possible to better assess whether Delta Reign will also play a major competitive role.

Which products will be released for Delta Reign?

The complete international product line for Delta Reign, also known as Delta Reign, is not yet fully known. For major Pokémon main sets, products such as Booster, Displays, Elite Trainer boxes, Booster Bundles, Blister Pack and collections are to be expected.

For Japan, Storm Emeralda has been announced as a Booster expansion. A Japanese Booster pack contains 5 cards, and a Booster Display usually contains 30 Booster packs. For German and English products, Collectors should follow the official product announcements for Delta Reign and Delta Reign.

As soon as concrete product details become available, it will be clearer which versions are particularly interesting for Collectors, Players, and fans of Mega Rayquaza ex.

Delta Reign, Delta Reign, or Storm Emeralda?

All three names are closely related, but do not refer to exactly the same product. Storm Emeralda is the Japanese expansion. Delta Reign is the English international name. Delta Reign is the German designation.

Those who collect German cards will primarily search for Delta Reign. Those who prefer English cards will look for Delta Reign. Those who want to open cards from the set as early as possible or collect Japanese cards will look for Storm Emeralda.

In terms of content, however, everything revolves around the same major theme: Mega Rayquaza ex returns in the Mega-Evolution era and gets a set clearly built around storms, the sky, Energy, and powerful Mega Pokémon.

Why you should be cautious with early information

Rumors quickly arise around new Pokémon sets. This is especially true for a set featuring Mega Rayquaza ex, because expectations for Rayquaza cards are very high.

What is currently certain above all is the names Delta Reign, Delta Reign, and Storm Emeralda, the Japanese Release on July 31, 2026, the international Release on November 6, 2026, Mega Rayquaza ex as the central Pokémon, and the first officially revealed cards from Storm Emeralda.

When it comes to pull rates, chase cards, complete card lists, and product details, however, it is best to wait until official information is available. Details can still change compared with the Japanese release, especially for international Pokémon sets.

Delta Reign could become the major Rayquaza set of 2026

Pokémon Delta Reign, known internationally as Delta Reign, brings Mega Rayquaza ex back into the spotlight. That alone makes the set interesting to many Collectors and Players.

The Japanese release Storm Emeralda already tells us that the set focuses heavily on Mega Rayquaza ex, Energy acceleration, new Mega-Evolution Pokémon, and a special two-part Stadium card. For Rayquaza fans, Mega-Evolution Collectors, and Players who like powerful Pokémon ex strategies, Delta Reign is therefore definitely a set to keep an eye on.

Not all details are known yet. That is precisely why it is worth following the upcoming news, card reveals, and product announcements. If you collect Pokémon cards and like Rayquaza, Delta Reign is likely to become one of the most important sets at the end of 2026.
