40k Astra Militarum: Tempestus Scions

If you are looking for a precise and versatile elite unit for your Warhammer 40.000 Astra Militarum army, the Tempestus Scions are a very suitable choice. The set contains 10 multi-part plastic miniatures that can be assembled as a unit or command squad. It also includes options for special weapons and command components, as well as the appropriate round bases. The box is therefore interesting for Players who want to expand their Imperial force in a structured way, and equally for Collectors who prefer military-themed miniatures.

This unit is especially useful if you do not want to fill your Astra Militarum list with only regular infantry. The Tempestus Scions give you a clearer elite focus and look noticeably more specialized on the table. For Players who plan their army project deliberately, this is appealing because the box serves a real purpose rather than merely acting as an addition. If you are specifically looking for new options for your game, this is a very logical purchase. The unit brings structure to your list.

Collectors particularly appreciate the Tempestus Scions for their clear military look and strong faction identity. The miniatures appear more disciplined and specialized than many standard troops, making them a great fit for an imperially focused Collection. If you collect Astra Militarum products with a distinct elite look, this box is a very cohesive addition. It does not feel random, but deliberately and neatly assembled. That is precisely what makes it appealing for structured Collections.

The included special weapons and command components give you more freedom during assembly than you might expect at first glance. This is helpful if you don't want to build your unit in a standardized way, but instead adapt it to your project. For hobbyists, this kind of choice is often exactly what keeps a set interesting in the long term. You get enough flexibility not only to build the Scions, but also to tailor them to your army. This significantly increases the set's hobby value.

In the game, the Scions are particularly convincing when you need a more precise, better-equipped unit in your Astra Militarum army. They are a good fit for buyers who want to build their list not only broadly, but also with a specific focus. The set is therefore less of a spontaneous addition and more of a deliberate step toward an elite unit. Anyone who likes working with clearly defined roles when building an army will quickly see the value here. This keeps your build focused.

Compared to standard infantry, the Tempestus Scions appear significantly more specialized and militarily disciplined. If you are deciding between a regular squad box and an elite unit, this box is the better choice as soon as you want more precision and character in your army. For many Players, this difference is exactly what matters, because it makes the list more interesting. The Scions therefore fulfill a different role than ordinary foot soldiers.

The Tempestus Scions are worthwhile for Astra Militarum Players who want to expand their army with an elite option, and for Collectors who appreciate the precise Imperial style. The box is also appealing to hobbyists because it can be assembled cleanly and customized in a variety of ways. If you are looking for a set that clearly fits into an army plan and is not merely decorative, this unit is a strong choice. It is functional while also visually striking enough to hold its own in a Collection.

The Tempestus Scions reveal their true value during assembly and gameplay, as you can then use the options directly. If you actively play Warhammer 40.000, opening the box is usually the most sensible choice. Those who specifically collect Astra Militarum boxes can of course also keep the unit as part of a themed faction collection. This keeps the product useful for both Players and Collectors.
