40k Space Marines: Assault Intercessors

If you're looking for a melee unit for your Space Marines, the Assault Intercessors are a very practical starting point. The set contains ten multipart plastic miniatures, providing a solid foundation for Warhammer 40.000. Players who want to make their army more mobile and aggressive often choose a unit like this. The set is also interesting for Collectors, as it showcases the typical Space Marine look in an active squad formation.

Many buyers first look for a unit for their Space Marines that fits easily into an army while also making sense in gameplay. That is exactly what the Assault Intercessors offer, as they bring a clear melee role. Compared with specialized models, they remain pleasantly accessible without seeming boring. For a Warhammer 40,000 project, this is often the more sensible choice than a set designed for a very narrow purpose. This allows the army to be developed flexibly.

For collectors, the Assault Intercessors unit is exciting because it presents Space Marines in a modern and dynamic form. Those who organize their Collection by squad type often need precisely such basic units to complete a faction display properly. The ten models provide enough substance for this without making the project unmanageable. In a Space Marines Collection, a set like this often feels like an important building block rather than merely an additional purchase.

On the battlefield, Assault Intercessors are especially useful when you want to give your army a melee presence. They are well suited to players who do not want to use Space Marines purely defensively, but instead want to bring them actively into the heart of the action. The set is therefore a good choice for Warhammer 40.000 battles in which you are looking for a reliable unit with a direct approach. With ten models, you can easily integrate the squad into an existing list.

The Assault Intercessors work both as an addition and as a starting point. If you are just starting out with Space Marines, you get a cohesive unit that is easy to paint and get onto the tabletop. If your army is already established, the set meaningfully expands your existing models with a different role. This versatility is exactly what makes the kit so appealing to many Warhammer fans. It is not too specialized, but has a clear enough role.

The set contains ten multipart Assault Intercessor miniatures and ten 32-millimeter bases. The models are supplied unpainted and unassembled, allowing you to build them according to your style. This is convenient for hobbyists, as you can assemble the unit step by step and later incorporate it specifically into your Space Marines army. This creates a classic Warhammer project that works both during construction and on the tabletop.

Compared to classic Tactical Squads, Assault Intercessors seem more mobile and more focused on close combat. If you are looking for a flexible fire base, another squad may be a better fit. But if you want a unit that actively pushes forward in your Warhammer 40.000 army, Assault Intercessors are often the more obvious choice. This difference is particularly important for Space Marines Players because it directly influences the playstyle.

The Assault Intercessors are ideal for players who want to expand their Space Marines with close-combat power, and for collectors looking for iconic faction models. Beginners also benefit from having a clearly understandable squad set for their first or next project. Anyone who wants to do more than collect Warhammer 40.000 and actually play gets a solid foundation here. The set is simple enough for beginners and useful enough for experienced armies.
